PCMA Fall Update: Assembly Open for Registration and Newsletter Published

So much is happening right now!

Annual Assembly, October 24 at St. Susanna’s Parish

First, we have our Annual Assembly, to be held October 24 at St. Susanna’s Parish in Dedham. The full-day event will feature public theologian Kevin Glauber Ahern, PhD, and is entitled: Bridging the Divides: Catholic Peacebuilding After Magnifica Humanitas. In addition to being a theologian, Dr. Ahern is a parent, educator, and organizer. He is a professor and chair of the Department of Religion and Philosophy at Manhattan University. New York, where he also directs the Dorothy Day Center for Social Catholicism. An award-winning author, Dr. Ahern has written extensively on the role of social movements, Catholic educational and institutional ministries, and the history of student organizing.

Summer-Fall 2026 Newsletter

We also are happy to announce the publication of our Summer-Fall 2026 Newsletter, which features an overview of nuclear weapons in this time of AI, by Board MemberPat Ferrone, and summaries of all four Faith Leaders’ Summit Dialogue on Nuclear Weapons Abolition offered by PCAN (Pax Christi New England Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons) this spring, by Mike Moran, Board Member and Newsletter Editor. Jeannie Connerney offered coverage of an initiative at St. Susanna’s Parish (Dedham) to honor children killed in Gaza; Sioux Mont wrote of Pax Christi Newton’s monthly gatherings to pray for peace, and Board Member Linda Taylor reflected on Pax Christi at LaSalette Shrine’s participation in the Diocese of Fall River’s Walk for Life in May.
