New Guests added to PCMA Assembly October 24; Register Today!

We were already excited about the upcoming PCMA Assembly on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at St. Susanna’s Parish in Dedham. Dr. Kevin Ahern, Professor and Chair of the Department of Religion and Philosophy at Manhattan University, New York, and Director of the Dorothy Day Center for Social Catholicism, will be our keynote speaker. Dr. Ahern will focus on Catholic Social Action and our commitment to Peace, especially, with the contributions of Pope Leo’s recent encyclical, Magnifica Humanitas.

Additionally, members of the National Pax Christi Team and some National Council Members from Washington DC will be with us.

And, in breaking news, we have learned that Archbishop John C. Wester of the Diocese of Santa Fe, NM, author the Pastoral Letter, Living in the Light of Christ’s Peace – A Conversation Toward Nuclear Disarmament, and Dr. Ira Helfand, past president of International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War (IPPNW) and a co-founder of Physicians for Social Responsibility (PSR), will also be joining us that day.

Archbishop Wester is in the Boston Area to accept the Global Health and Peace Award from the Greater Boston PSR and the IPPNW for his work to amplify the “moral, spiritual, and humanitarian” nature of efforts to eliminate nuclear weapons.

So our excitement knows no bounds! Please consider spending the day interacting with these distinguished peacemakers, and register today to assist us in planning.
